Does your NFT make you laugh?
For all of you dreamers out there, for all of you that are working hard towards your dreams and aspirations, for all of you misfits that are not giving up and have no intention to — for all of you that learned (maybe in a hard way) that life is not a straight path, for all of you that struggled but remained an optimist, and for all of you that appreciate a good joke and know how not to take it personally even if you laugh at your self. For all of you for whom freedom is a sacred value. You are our family.
We did all this (made The Wheels) to make you laugh and help you remember, or better, help you not to forget who you are and that your differences are what makes you strong and that everything is going to work out just fine.
The story of The Wheels & Bringing (back) the humor into the world of NFTs
The Wheels are a story about life, struggle, being different, and remembering that your journey, no matter how hard , should be fun and joyful. It’s about remembering that you will get to the destination that your heart so desires through perseverance, continuous improvement, and staying true to yourself.
To draw a good enough parallel, we decided to depict the wheel, an invention that has been fundamental for the development of humanity.
The artworks in our collection consist of two major elements: the wheel and the scenery surrounding it. We intentionally made all the wheels in all shapes except the actual circle to represent our own imperfection.
The scenery behind the wheels is a reminder of how wonderful the world we live in actually is. It’s a reminder for all of us to take a break. To take a deep breath and live.
Combined, these wheels are us.
Utility
While we are sure some of you will make money reselling The Wheels, our primary utility is to make you laugh every time you look at your Wheel NFT — to brighten you up.
We do not know what the future holds, but The Wheels are about doing some real good, maybe small, but real. What we can promise is that for each Wheel that gets minted we will plant a tree with an intention to plant a tiny forest of ~1000 trees (945 wheels in the collection). It’s going to be a nice home for some birds and other wildlife, and it will play a small part in reducing our carbon footprint.
Sometime in the future, if these NFT forests start growing in number, we’re working on an idea to reward NFT holders with carbon tokens, but that is a story for another time — we will write more about it when the time comes.

You can mint yourself a Wheel by going to https://www.thewheels.io/. The minting opens on Monday, September the 13th, and it will remain open until all Wheels have been minted. The collection counts 945 unique artworks.
